Updates in LARS Management

Low Anterior Resection syndrome is a common but often unrecognised condition that affects up to 75% of rectal patients 1 year after surgery and 40% in the longer term. This debilitating syndrome impacts significantly on quality of life. From this workshop, you will understand the impact of LARS on your patients, who are at risk, simple measures that patients can take to improve symptoms, and a pathway for LARS management with treatment options.

The workshop is open to all health professionals dealing with colorectal cancer patients and primary care.

This event will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cardiff on the 7th of December 2023 from 9 am to 5pm (approx)

** NB There will be a Polaris site investigator meeting following the workshop and anyone interested in attending needs to contact polaris@leeds.ac.uk to register or find out more.
