The Welsh Urological Society is an organisation which incorporates all Consultants, trainees and Specialist Nurses in urology working in Wales. The society meets once a year, at a central location to facilitate regular attendance by both North and South Wales members.

The meeting includes the WUS business meeting, a training afternoon with presentation and debates, a trade exhibition with supper, invited guest speakers, and the award of the Huw Williams Prize for the best presentation. There is also a Consultants' business meeting with a strong social element, culminating in an enjoyable evening event.

All submissions are automatically entered for each prize consideration. This is a valuable opportunity to present your research, gain professional recognition, and connect with colleagues in the field. 

Instructions & Guidelines

  1. Maximum 250 words (Does not include Title, Authors, or Institution)

  2. Set in the order: Introduction, Patients & Methods, Results, and Conclusion

  3. Maximum of 1 attachment - Table or Figure is allowed

  4. Microsoft word format

  5. Submit 2 copies of the abstract 

    • The first with authors names and institution, 

    • The second without authors names and institution, which will be used for anonymous scoring

  6. Clearly name the file " [Abstract Title] Anonymous" or " [Abstract Title] [Presenting Authors Name]"

  7. Clearly show email address and name of the presenting author for ease of communication
